Simple Steps for Google Workspace Migration
Plan the Move: Before starting, you should decide what data you want to move (like emails and calendars) and when to do it. It’s best to pick a time when the migration won’t interrupt your team’s work.

Set Up Google Workspace: First, the organization creates a Google Workspace account. Admins need to make sure all users are added, so their data can be transferred.

Use Migration Tools: Google has different tools for moving data:

Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Exchange is used to move data from Microsoft platforms.
The Data Migration Service is for moving data from other Gmail or IMAP-based accounts. These tools make it easy to transfer everything without doing it manually.
Configure the Migration: Admins choose which data to move (emails, contacts, etc.) and can set filters, like only moving data from the last year.

 

Start the Migration: Once everything is ready, the migration begins. It could take a few hours or a few days, depending on how much data is being moved.

Monitor the Migration: During the migration, admins can check the progress using the Google Admin Console. They can fix any issues and ensure everything is transferring correctly.

Check Everything After: When the migration is finished, the admins and users should check to make sure all emails, contacts, and calendar events are transferred. If anything is missing, it can be fixed.

Switch to Google Workspace: Once the migration is complete, users can start using Google Workspace. Their old emails, calendars, and contacts will be available in Gmail, Google Calendar, and other apps.
